Reduce the incidents and severity of accident trauma.

Sample Measures

The development and implementation of measures such as the regulation requiring the use of seat belts or children’s car seats, as well as steps to raise public awareness of how to properly adjust headrests and the importance of wearing bicycle helmets.

The automotive industry helps develop new tools such as airbags, antiskid devices, etc.

Through its various constituent organizations, especially the Direction de la santé publique, the MSSS helps promote the use of helmets in sliding sports and prevent falls among seniors and shaken baby syndrome.
